This comprehensive recycling station is part of a face-lift for the Think! Cafe at the ECHO Science Center and Aquarium in Burlington, Vermont. The palette of green building materials includes FSC Purebond birch plywood, Paperstone recycled paper countertops, reclaimed scrap aluminum fittings, aniline dyed strawboard, and the whey-based Vermont Natural Coatings furniture finish. When cafe customers are done with their meal, they can visit the weigh station (on the right) to weigh and record their trash, properly sort their garbage, recycleable materials, and compost, and finally leave their dishes and tray in the bus cart (on the left).
