One thing I didn't carry but will in the future is the liner bag from a container of boxed wine. After drinking the wine, rinse out the bag and use it to store water at camp or to make it through a dry spell on the trail. The bag is really light and durable. The plastic "fabric" has two layers so it will look old and beat up before it leaks and you have to get more wine. The valve works well for filling and cleaning.
