With fellow GMC members Paul DeLuca, Ed Loewenton, and Chris, Dave headed east to the Cannon Mt ski area. Despite forecasts of wretched rainy weather, our group lucked out and remained quite dry. The temperature remained near a very un-February 40 degrees all day, and we bare booted our way up the Kinsman Ridge Trail. Not far in, I found a lonely cell phone. Alas the battery was dead or I could have ordered a mid-hike pizza. The overlook at the top of Cannon Cliff was a pleasantly warm spot for lunch. After visiting the observation platform on the summit, we boot glissaded downhill. A fun spring hike.
